Chesca graduated with a bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines.

 

Before moving to Vancouver, she practiced as a certified Speech-Language Pathologist in her home country for almost 3 years working in hospitals and pediatric clinics providing assessment and intervention to neurodiverse individuals across the lifespan; specializing in early intervention, play, language disorders, and motor speech disorders. She is an advocate for neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based intervention; embracing the uniqueness of each individual and supporting them to improve their quality of life.
 

Chesca is certified in Oral Placement Therapy Level 1 from Talktools and is currently exploring the DIR floortime approach, along with the Meaningful Speech course for Gestalt Language Processors and intends to be certified in both to further provide the best evidence-based practices for her clients. She is also fluent in both English and Tagalog.

She is excited to be part of the team as a speech-language pathologist assistant (SLP-A) and plans to pursue further studies in the future to be a certified SLP in Canada.
